OSH Coordinator

The main task of the OSH Coordinator at a construction site is to coordinate the safety of work of all construction participants, both in the course of the construction site preparation stage and the implementation as well.

The OSH Coordinator’s work is defined by Act No. 309/2006 Coll. and regulated by Government Regulation No. 591/2006 Coll. The OSH coordinator must be present on all construction sites where more than one contractor operates, and the scope of the construction exceeds the specified limits.

During the construction implementation, the OSH Coordinator primarily prepares the OSH Plan, notifies the contractor of any deficiencies in the application of OSH requirements identified at the construction site, and provides suggestions and recommends technical solutions or organisational measures to ensure the OSH at the construction site. Besides, they also monitor compliance with the OSH Plan and, if appropriate, convene and manage OSH control days.
